Stag Beetle Grub

Stag Beetle Grub

Stag beetle grub. If you find one of these, put it back where you found it, beneath the rotting tree root it has been feeding on. The adults don’t eat once they emerge 4-5 years after being underground as a grub. They’re only interested in finding a mate…

If you’ve ever wondered where the people working on horror movies get their inspiration, look no further than a stag beetle grub. I’d estimate this one to be around 3-4 years old.
